Half artist, half engineer, half activist, I am Ed Martin and I am 150% awesome.

Maybe I should break that down a little:

• Half Artist. Maybe “artist” is a bit strong, at least at this point, but here’s the deal: I am currently enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Communication Studies program at Concordia University in Montreal. That’s where this blog comes from. My main interests include television and film production as well as screenwriting.
• Half Engineer. I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Memorial University of Newfoundland. While I am not currently using the degree in the most orthodox of ways, it is still a big part of who I am and how I approach things.
• Half Activist. I’m very passionate about international development, and have spent a lot of my time volunteering with Engineers Without Borders.
• 150% Awesome. Actually, that’s a lie. I’m probably only something like 65-70% awesome.
